TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

ROSS ISLE has a thruster assisted mooring arrangement and is the first rig with an installation of the Kongsberg P!atform Data System for automatic control of the thrusters, complying with the latest Norwegian Maritime Directorate, regulations conserning mooring systems. As a request from STATOIL and A/S ROSSHAVET, all proposed Norwegian gouvermental requierements, even if not come into force, are adhered to.
