Skipet var utstyrt med en 2-trinns dampmaskin på 130 NHK bygget av J. W. and F. Wilson, of Monkwearmouth fra begynnelsen.

Avgikk 25/08-1908 fra Tønsberg med utstyr og forsyninger til landstasjonen.

Launched on 23/12 from John Priestman & Co’s shipbuilding yard at Southwick in Sunderland. The spouser was Mrs. Cundall. Delivered in December. From the beginning the vessel was equipped with a compound propulsion of 130 NHP delivered by J. W. and F. Wilson, of Monkwearmouth.
