1905 Fikk ved Framnæs mek. Værksted installert to presskokere, ble deretter sendt til feltene ved Svalbard som hjelpekokeri til ADMIRALEN. Arbeidet ble av Framnæs nevnt som «Kogeri No. 2».
1906 I fangst som hjelpekokeri for ADMIRALEN ved Vest Falkland og Syd Shetland i sesongen 1906/07
1908 Avgår Sandefjord med kurs for kysten av Chile 04/04. Disponent var Chr. Christensen. Bestyrer for ekspedisjonen var August F. Christensen, nest yngste sønn av Chr. Christensen. Kaptein på turen var Carl Englund, som hadde vært fører av ØRNEN på den andre JASON-ekspedisjonen i 1893/94.
A. F. Christensen var da uten tvil den yngste fangstleder i hvalfangstens historie, da han fylte 20 år tre måneder etter at ekspedisjonen hadde gått fra Sandefjord!
VESTERLIDE hadde med hvalbåtene RAVN (b 1908) og SVIP (b 1906). Man skulle undersøke fangstforholdene på kysten. I begynnelsen av juni ankommer hun Punta Arenas, hvorfra man forsøker fangstforholdene i Magellan stredet. Dette ble ingen suksess. Så fortsetter ekspedisjonen til Port Desire (Puerto Deseado) på kysten av Patagonia (Provinsen Santa Cruz, Argentina). Man fant ingen hvalbestand av verdi og søkte litt nordover kysten. I juli måned gikk kokeriet og hvalbåter til Falklandsøyene hvor fangstforholdene var noe bedre. VESTERLIDE var et gammelt fartøy og materiellet var heller ikke førsteklasses. Utbyttet ble middelmådig
Ekspedisjonen sluttet seg til Ørnens ekspedisjon og kokeriet ADMIRALEN 07/11, som da var på vei til Syd-Shetland. VESTERLIDE hadde under sommeren fanget totalt 19 hval. 1 blåhval, 3 seihval og 15 finnhval. Finnhvalene var tatt ved Falklandsøyene.

1909 Sesongen i Sydishavet var over og VESTERLIDE var igjen tilbake ved Falklandsøyene 16/03. I begynnelsen på april satte man igjen kursen for kysten av Chile.
Man forsøkte fangst flere steder, men San Pedro USA ble deres egentlige hovedbase. Under sommeren fanget man 32 blåhval, 4 finnhval og 1 knøl. Dette ga et utkok på 1.327 fat hvalolje. Fangsten ble avsluttet 14/10.
1910 VESTERLIDE og to hvalbåter (SKJOLD og SVEIP) blir solgt til A/S Pacific (Chr. Christensen). Det ble etablert en større landstasjon med base i San Pedro, Chile. Bestyrer var August F. Christensen. .
1911 Solgt til nye eiere i Chile og endte sine dager som lekter i San Pedro, Chile.

1905 At the yard Framnæs mek. Værksted, Sandefjord installed two cookery boiler. Sailed for the fields off Svalbard as auxiliary cookery for Fl/F ADMIRALEN.
1906 At West Falklands and South Shetland as auxiliary cookery for the ADMIRALEN in the season 1906/07
1908 Sold to A/S Nor (Søren L. Christensen) for Nkr.30.000. For use as whale cookery at the coast of Chile.
VESTERLIDE was sent by Chr. Christensen to the coast of Patagonia and Strait of Magellan and Chile-kysten for the season of 1908/09. Manager for the expedition was Mr August F. Christensen, next-to-youngest son of Chr. Christensen. The captain of the tour was Carl Englund, who had been the master of the sail ship ØRNEN on the second JASON-expedition in 1893/94.
A. F. Christensen was with no doubt the youngest whaling manager in the history of whaling, as he passed the 20-year of age three months after the expedition had left the port of Sandefjord!
VESTERLIDE had two catchers, RAVN and SVIP. One would examine the catching conditions on the coast. At the beginning of June, she arrives at the Punta Arenas, from which to attempt catching condition of the Magellan Strait. This was not a success. So the expedition continue to Port Desire (Puerto Deseado) on the coast of Patagonia (the province of Santa Cruz, Argentina). One found no whale population of value and searched a little bit to the North Coast. In the month of July the factory ship and her catchers to the Falkland Islands where the possibility for good hunt was better.
VESTERLIDE was an old sail ship and the whaling equipment was not of high class. The outcome was not the best.
The expedition joined the Ørnens expedition and the factory ship the ADMIRAL 07/11, who was then on his way to the South-Shetland. VESTERLIDE had during the summer caught a total of 19 whale. 1 blue whale, 3 fin whales and 15 sei whale. Fin whales were taken around the Falkland Islands.
Sold to A/S Nor (Søren L. Christensen) for NOK 30,000. Was later used as a floating ship on the Chile-coast.
1909 The season was over and VESTERLIDE again was back in the Falklands 16/03. In the beginning of April the course was again set for the coast Chile.
Several attempt was made in whaling, but their real base was San Pedro of Chile. During the summer a total catch of 32 blue whales, 4 fin whale and 1 humpback. The result was 1.327 barrels of whale oil. Whaling season was terminated by 14/10.
1910 VESTERLIDE and two catchers (SKJOLD and SVEIP) was sold to A/S Pacific (Chr. Christensen). A share station for whaling was built, based in San Pedro, California, USA. August F. Christensen was the manager.
1911 Sold to new owners in Chile and ended her career as barge.
